How to Disable the Suggested Files From Google Drive on Android
You can delete the suggestions that show up when you open the Google Drive app on an Android phone. However, unlike using Drive on a laptop or PC, you cannot remove the entire Suggestions section from your Drive on Android.
- Unlock your phone and check to see if you have the Google Drive application installed.
- If not, download it from Play Store and enter your credentials to access the Drive.
- Once you’re logged in, click on the Home tab from the four options given at the bottom of the screen.
- You will now be able to see all the suggested files. To remove them click on the options button next to their name. The icon will have three vertical dots on it.
- Scroll down till you see a thumbs down icon which reads Not a helpful suggestion and click on it.
- After you do that, that particular file will be removed from the suggestions but not deleted.
The only drawback to this is that you need to manually remove each and every file that you don’t want to show up in the Suggestions column, as the Google Drive app doesn’t allow you to remove the entire section.
