How to Turn Off Notifications in Mac Dropbox
In the Mac Dropbox we can turn off the notification by following methods:
- Open the Dropbox account in the Mac Dropbox desktop app in the toolbar.
- Click the Gear icon on the top corner of the screen (consisting of any images or letters provided).
- The menu pops down, click on the preferences option in the displaying options.
- The preferences option opens and many options display, click on the notifications icon.
- The notification tab pops down and below the Notify me about displays.
- There will be a checkmark near the options for which we have given permission to send notifications.
- Remove the checkmark for which you do not need to receive notifications.
We can remove all the checkmarks if you do not want to receive any notifications from Dropbox.
How to Turn Off Email Notifications in Dropbox Web Browser

- Open Dropbox in the web browser.

Instead of turning off the notification in Dropbox, we can snooze the notification for a certain time limit.
- Open the Dropbox account in the Dropbox Desktop app.
- Press the Gear icon in the Dropbox (displays any letters or any image).
- Click the preferences option in Dropbox, it takes you to the Dropbox account page.
- On the account, page click the Notification options and scroll below.
- There we can see a snooze option, click the snooze, and select the time limit to turn off the notification In Dropbox.
- We can set the time limit of a minimum of half an hour to a maximum until tomorrow.
- After setting the time limit, click Apply to update the changes.
Once the fixed time comes to end, the notifications turn on automatically in Dropbox.

- Press the Manage notifications in the settings tab.

How to Turn Off Comment Notifications in Dropbox using Browser
Follow the steps to turn off the comments for files in Dropbox using a web browser.
- Open the Dropbox account in the web browser.
- Select the name of the file to turn off the comments.
- Click the comment box icon in the top right of the selected file.
- Press the horizontal ellipse “…” near the comments option.
- Click the Unsubscribe or disable comments option and the comment sections will be disabled for the selected file.
We can disable the comments section for the particular file in Dropbox.
How to Turn Off Comments in iPhone Dropbox
If you are using iPhone turn off the comments for the file in the below-mentioned procedure.
- Open the Dropbox account on the iPhone mobile.
- Select the file to turn off the comments.
- Tap the comment box displaying Type a comment.
- On the top left side, there will be a notification icon (bell symbol).
- The bell icon appears in blue color if you have subscribed for the notifications in Dropbox.
The notification bell will be in blue color if you have subscribed for comment.
How to Turn Off Comments in Android Dropbox
The comments for a file in android Dropbox can be turned off by the following steps:
- Open the Dropbox account on the Andriod mobile.
- Click the file name to turn off the comments.
- Tap the comment box displaying Type a comment.
- On the top left side, there will be a notification icon (bell symbol), click the bell icon to turn off the notification.
- The bell icon appears in blue color if you have subscribed for the notifications in Dropbox.
