  • Open your laptop or PC and load your preferred browser.

How to Share Large Videos Files Using Gmail?

As you may know, you can only send less than 25 MB files using Gmail. Since Gmail has a cap on the size of files you can send through it, there is only one way to circumvent this problem.

You have to upload your files to Google Drive, generate a public link from your Drive, and send the link via Gmail. Now, the person who gets this mail can open the link and view the file regardless of its size. Refer to the instructions provided below to see how to do that.

  • Enter the email of the person you want to share the file with, paste the link to the file, and hit Send. 

Since you selected the Anyone with the link option, anyone who has the link to this file can view it. It doesn’t necessarily have to be only the person who you sent the link to.

Sharing files on your Android phone or iPhone is pretty similar to how it is done on the PC as well. Refer to the steps mentioned below to see how to do that. 

  • Unlock your phone and check if you have the Drive app. Go to the Play Store or AppStore to download and install the app if you don’t. 
  • Open the app and enter your details to access the Drive. 
  • Once you’re logged in, search for the file you want to share and tap the three dots next. 
  • Select Share from the menu and enter the person’s email with whom you want to share the file.
