Steps to follow
- Open your browser

- Once Google drive is open, Click on your profile photo at the top right corner.
- A small popup bar appears with an option to Sign Out.
- Click on it, and you will be logged out from the Google Drive account.
However, this action also logs you out from your Gmail account.

How to logout of Google Drive App Using Your Android Phone
Logging out from your Google Drive account using your Android phone leaves no other option but to remove it from your phone. Doing so means that you won’t access that account again until you log back in and sync your account again.
Since you want to logout of Google Drive app account, it means you already have it installed on your phone. Therefore, this process will explain the logging out process only.
Steps to follow
- Start by opening the Google Drive app on your Android phone.
- Click on the Profile Photo on the top-right corner.
- Scroll down and tap on “Manage Accounts on this device“. (It should be the last option on the menu).
- Tap on it. The settings page will open up.
- For people with multiple Gmail accounts on their device, you should select the one you wish to log out from and tap to open more options.
- Now, you can either choose to switch off the sync or simply tap on Remove Account.
A small window opens up, prompting you to confirm that you are removing your account. If you are sure, click the tab “remove account” to finalize the process.
You are now successfully logged out and removed your google account from that device only.

To log out from your Google Drive account using your iPhone or iPad means removing your account from that device. It is the only way.
However, the same result is achievable by performing other actions. These include:
- Removing the account from your iPhone/iPad.
- Disabling the Google Drive account temporarily.
- Signing in with another account.
There are other sign-out options from your Google Drive account. Each of these is straightforward, and you can log out within minutes.
How to Remove Google Drive from Your iPad/iPhone
Removing your Google Drive account also removes your Google account from the device. It means that the device will not have your account in any of the Google products, including YouTube, Gmail, Drive, and Google Photos, among others.

How to Disable Google Drive Account Temporarily
It is possible to have more than one Google Drive account on one device. You can temporarily remove one or more accounts from your iPad or iPhone.

- Open the Google Drive app on your iPad or iPhone.

How to Sign Out Remotely from Google Drive and Gmail Web Sessions
If you are a heavy user of Google products, it means that you may open web sessions on multiple devices. The issue is widespread for teachers and students who share Chromebooks in school across numerous devices.
The problem is that Chromebooks don’t log you out automatically, and this can leave your account vulnerable.
However, you can remedy the situation by remotely logging out from all web sessions using your PC.
Steps to follow
- Open your Gmail Account on the search tab using www.mail.google.com
- At the bottom of your Gmail inbox window, look for Account Details. (it’s written in fine print.)
- Click on Details
- All your active sessions will be displayed
- From the options, click “Sign out of All Web Sessions. ”
- You will be logged out of all web sessions.
- Sign out Gmail
When you sign out from Gmail and all other web sessions, it means that you must sign in again when you want to access your Gmail account. You must enter your email/username and password on that device to gain access.
However, you can still access Google Drive and Gmail via apps using your mobile devices, and you will not be logged out using this method.

How to logout of Google Drive App from a Single Device
Sometimes when you try logging out from your Google account on your PC, you never see the “remove account” or “sign out” button. Instead, all you see is “sign out of all accounts.” And perhaps all you want to do is log out from one Google on your PC.
It is frustrating, but at the moment, according to Google, you can’t log out of one account without logging out the others.
However, you can use your device to log out of Google Drive from other devices that you are logged into remotely.
Steps to follow
- Open your Google Account from your web browser
- Click on the nine dots at the top right side of your PC
- Click on “Accounts.” It’s the first option
- It opens up your google Account welcome page.
- From the options on the lets side of your screen, click “Security.”
- Scroll down to the “your devices” box and click once.
- A page opens up where all your Google accounts are logged in using different devices.
- At the top of each box, you will see three dots. Click. On the device, you wish to log out.
- Select the first option, which is “sign out.”
- A popup box will prompt you to sign out. Click sign out again to log out from that device.
The “Sign out” button is only available for devices other than your current device
